Here's a good one. A client in Tampa came to us with a backyard that was basically bare dirt and dead ground cover - nothing usable, nothing growing. The kind of yard that just sits there. Our job was to strip it down, get the grade right, and lay fresh sod across the entire space.
Before we put a single piece of sod down, we scraped and graded the area. That part matters more than most people realize. If the ground isn't properly leveled and prepped, your new grass settles unevenly, drains poorly, and you end up with soft spots and patchy growth. We used a compact track loader to work the space and get the surface where it needed to be before anything else happened.
Once the prep was done, we brought in approximately 2,200 square feet of fresh sod - loaded up on the trailer and ready to go. We laid it edge to edge across the main backyard, through the side run along the fence line, and right up to the structure. No gaps, no awkward cutoffs. Every piece was fitted tight so the root contact is solid from day one.
Good sod installation isn't just about dropping rolls of grass. It's about making sure the ground underneath gives that sod the best chance to take hold and thrive. The prep work is what separates a lawn that lasts from one that looks rough in a few weeks. We take that part seriously on every job.
We do this kind of work all across the Tampa area - scrape, grade, sod, done. Clean process, solid results. If your yard is in rough shape and you're tired of looking at it, this is exactly what we do.
