This one was pretty straightforward on paper - scrape the area down, pull out the junk buried underneath, grade it smooth, and hand it off ready for turf. But as with most jobs, what looked simple on the surface had a few surprises waiting once we started digging.

The area had a mix of old rock, weeds, and buried debris that had to come out before we could even think about grading. We ran the Demorazer to rip out the old material and pull up what was hiding below - rusted metal, broken tile, and years worth of buried buildup. That stuff has to go before any turf installer can do their work properly. Skipping that step is how you end up with lumps and soft spots showing up six months down the road.

Once the debris was loaded out, we got to work on the grading. The goal is a flat, consistent surface with no high spots or low areas that would trap water under the turf. We scraped it back and leveled it out so the installer has a clean canvas to work with. The difference between a before and after on a job like this is night and day.

A big part of what we do is just setting the next guy up for success. Whether that's a turf crew, a concrete contractor, or a landscaper - the site work we do upfront is what makes their install look and perform the way it should. Cut corners here and it shows up later.

If you've got a space that needs to be prepped for turf or any other install, this is exactly the kind of work we do. Scrape, grade, debris cleanup, haul-off - we handle the whole thing so the project can move forward without delays.
